Indian Fashion Blog - TIGI Bed Head Urban Antidotes Resurrection Hair Range

Indian Fashion Blog - TIGI Bed Head Urban Antidotes Resurrection Hair Range

I have been coloring and straightening my hair and perhaps been doing every possible thing to my hair over the years. I have realized if we can spend a lot on heat styling and various treatments, it is also important to invest in hair care products to prevent hair damage. Monsoon is here and all I can think of how to revive my stressed out hair and handle bad hair days.

I was alternating between Loreal Professional shampoo and conditioner for colored hair and Absolute Repair for the longest time. Then I switched to sulphate free Argan Oil hair range - ARGAN SUBLIME for a while. However I realized the sulphate free hair products do not lather much and I could feel that my scalp was never clean especially if you put oil before washing hair. Also, this requires you to put huge quantity of the product.

But then Bed Head's Urban Antidote #3 wash and care came to my rescue. When hair calls for damage control this was it! It is for my completely damaged and chemically treated hair.

The Urban Anti Dotes range has got 3 lines: Damage Level 1, 2 and 3.
1. TIGI Urban Anti dote #1 – Re-energize Shampoo and Conditioner – for normal hair that needs a daily pick me up
2. TIGI Urban Anti dote #2 – Recovery Shampoo and Conditioner – for dry, damaged hair that needs a moisture fix
3. TIGI Urban Anti-dote #3 – Resurrection Shampoo and Conditioner – for weak, brittle, chemically treated hair that needs an intensive intervention

My take:
Coming to the product the texture is not too think or thin. The consistency is just perfect with attractive packaging. Bed Head is known for their funky and colorful packaging and descriptions.
I have thick and long hair so I use a lot of product. The shampoo does not lather well like the usual drying shampoos but it surely leaves my hair smoother and softer. It also leaves the scalp clean unlike the sulphate free shampoos.
All you need to do is to work into lather on wet hair. Rinse well and follow it up with conditioner. You would not see much difference without the conditioner. So make sure you get your hands on the duo.

What I like?
- Beautiful sweet smell
- Softer and more manageable hair
- Of course it gets all the more brownie points because of attractive packaging.

What I don't like?
- I didn't see any difference in hair fall.
- It is not easily available everywhere.
- Pocket pinch might be a concern. But the tubes are huge and there is large amount of product which will last you for a longer time.

Verdict: I finally love my hair. It makes them soft to touch and the frizziness is reduced. I have been using regularly now and it will surely last for another couple of months.
I recommend to keep changing the range. Make sure you get the conditioner for better results. It is good to switch the range as your hair might get immune to the treatment.

Price: 700 INR for 250 ml (shampoo) & 850 INR for 200 ml (conditioner)
