Fashion Blogger Life - Health Diaries Vol 5

It has been a while I did a fitness post.  I love eating clean and the satisfaction I get means the world to me. Sometimes I cannot stop cribbing about bad weather, pollution, traffic and poor quality of life in Mumbai. It becomes more important to take care of yourself and it is rightly said you are what you eat.
Your skin, hair, nails, muscles are made up of protein. I eat frequently and try to eat only complex carbs which take time to digest. Also let me break the stereotypical notion that fruits are not so healthy. They are overrated and make sure you do not go overboard. It is fructose which means sugar. However, they are packed with antioxidants and reduce the acidity level. You surely need these simple carbs during the day or in the morning to get going.
I do not follow a strict diet regime which means measuring my food and macros. I make sure at least 3 meals out of 5 are paleo-friendly and of course I have my cheat meals too. Here are few snippets of my health diaries. Do share your review.

Remember: 80% Nutrition + 20% Fitness = 100% Mindset! No excuses. No Self Negotiation!

Received these herbal nutrition bar samples from RiteBite to try it out. I indulge in such bars once in a while only when on the move or traveling, as they are processed.
My never ending tryst with cocoa. Yummy and healthy whey protein brownies from Eat-A-Whey and dark chocolate! I am sure you all know how good are the dark chocolates.
Fit As A Fiddle recommends yummy grilled cottage cheese salad from Pishu's, Andheri (160 INR). The right balance of carbs and protein for a nutrient rich meal. This is surely my idea of great lunch in office. Decent portions and very filling!
Yummy salads to die for at my favorite place - The The Bombay Salad Co., Bandra, Mumbai. I keep posting my healthy meals on Instagram time and again. I go here at least once or twice a week. Salads priced around (200-300 INR) and huge portions. I can say without any qualms that this place will actually make you fall in love with salads all over again.
Roasted flax seeds, pumpkin seeds, almonds and dates which I carry in my bag every time for snacking and emergencies avoiding extreme hunger pangs.
This is how I like my sprouts salad (Moong and Chana soaked in water over night)
I cannot get over the healthy meal I had in Trikaya, Mumbai. I hope you have read the review about Trikaya and how eating out can be healthy too.

"It is a BATTLE! Being out of shape is a battle. Being unhealthy, insecure, depressed. Getting in shape is a battle, giving up time to workout, unable to eat everything you want being sore all the time. Life is a battle no matter so decide what's worth fighting for!"
