Indian Fashion Blog - Diabetic Friendly Menu at Sassy Spoon

So I happened to visit Sassy Spoon few days back and cannot wait to share my culinary experience here. Sassy Spoon is surely a great place to take your taste buds on a culinary journey and that too a healthier way! There is Diabetic Food Trail Menu running in several restaurants in 5 cities.

The Diabetic Food Trail is presented by Britannia Nutrichoice Essentials in association with Biocon, the largest Indian Insulins Company. Britannia and Biocon have once again partnered with DFT, this year along with Fitternity.com, Health & Nutrition and Burrp!

We started our evening with "Very Berry Khatta" recommended by the manager. It is a refreshing drink muddled with mulberries with a hint of orange and kala khatta. We requested the chef to serve us smaller portions so V and I could try a lot of dishes on the menu.
The star of the evening was "Dukkah Crusted Rawas with steamed vegetables and Beluga Lentils" which was executed to perfection with breakthrough flavours. There are several other items on the menu as well which come with brown rice, grills and buckwheat option.
"Black Bean and Buttermilk Soup"
"Grilled Lemon Chicken Skewers" & "Salad of Marinated grilled vegetables with Broken Wheat"
"Dukkah Crusted Rawas with steamed vegetables" and "Beluga Lentils & Curried Quinoa Salad with Prawns and Vegetables"

Verdict:
A very classy place with luxe ambience that oozes oodles of panache. Surely, a great place to let your hair down and soothe the unfrazzled nerves. For a quite night, go on a weekday for culinary marvels. Sassy indeed!

What I like:
- I was certainly impressed with the macros and all the nutritional information mentioned with every dish. This surely stole the limelight for me.
- A happy place with a plenty of healthy options like salads and grills. Never thought there will be so many healthy options in their exhaustive menu.
- It is also a perfect place for weekend indulgence and to feel mellow. It serves a steamy mix of cocktails and mocktails.

What I didn't like:
Not that pocket-friendly. It is fine dining restaurant and perfect for special occasions. However, I am sure no one will have any qualms about this.

Fit As A Fiddle recommends:
Grilled Lemon Chicken Skewers.
Dukkah Crusted Rawas with steamed vegetables and Beluga Lentils.
- Roast Chicken with sweet potato mash and Mustard marinated cauliflowers.
