I love adventure and lately I have been hit by travel bug. Being in Mumbai for an year now I happened to travel to Pune several times on the weekend. It is such a calm and serene place away from hustle and bustle  of maddening and chaotic Mumbai. It is just a three hour drive on Mumbai Express Highway and you can have an awesome road trip and even explore other places ahead like Lavazza.

Whenever I travel, accomodation is of prime importance for me. I am surely cursed with expensive taste and finer things in life. Make sure you check out the list of hotels in Pune and do a through research before heading. 

For the first time I stayed at St Laurent in Koregaon Park. The property is nothing great but rooms were spick and span. The gymnasium needs improvement. Somehow the pool on the terrace makes up for the loss.

The second time I stayed in Taj Vivanta, Koregaon Park which is one of the best hotels in Pune at a prime location. The hotel personifies urban grandeur and impeccable service with distinctive standards of excellence in hospitality. There is nothing like unwinding by the pool and indulging in gourmet breakfast with a great view. The rejuvenating atmosphere cajole you to relax.  The fitness center is well maintained and one can break a sweat and get their endorphins aka happy hormones in ultra modern gymnasium. I always try to workout out while vacationing as well. Swing to the beats in their lounge 'Latitude.'  One minor niggle is that rooms are nothing great and very tiny.

Both these hotels are close to Tribal Museum, Rotary Riverside Joggers Park and Osho International Meditation Resort. You can check out places in vicinity like ABC farms and even do some street shopping for Osho flip flops.

After enjoying the hotel property make sure you head out for  culinary escapades. Pune also has a great night life with exuberant and young vibe Some of the eateries offer Goan vibe. If you looking for satisfying culinary adventure look no further than Brooklyn Shuffle and Prem's. You could enjoy culinary delights and myriad spirits. One can also indulge in retail therapy at Pheonix MarketCity.

Once you are done with hotel bookings in Pune get set and hit the road. There are Oakwood Premiere service apartments as well.  Some of the other comfy stay options are JW Mariott, Holiday Inn, Pune Hyatt, etc.
