Indian Lifestyle Blog - Interior Styling Masterclass PepperfryXGoodHomes

Sometimes, I feel so lucky and grateful towards my work. It is exciting to attend interesting events and learn new things.

Last week I attended a fun interior-styling masterclass by the most charming and warm Ronita Italia, editor of Good Homes Magazine at Pepperfry studio.

BonHomie, the new blog from Pepperfry mindscape takes the home shopping experience to a whole new level. The idea behind this interesting new venture is to help people turn their dull and drab houses into homes that reflect their personality.
Waiting for the class to begin and admiring the intricate detailing around.

Moodboard in the making and referring to the colour wheel.
That is my final mood board with all the cutwork.
That is our bed that we styled and won the prize too.

Here are some quick and nifty tips that you can keep in mind while doing up your space:
- Your home has to be a reflection of you. It has to be an extension of you. What works for you, bring it on. It could be a corner, your happy space, and not necessarily a room.
- If you are confused, create a mood board to align your thought process. The mood board should include the main theme, inspirations, colour palette, elements and flowers.
- Refer to the colour wheel and do up space tastefully. You could use contrasting colours to be the background/feature wall and then smaller bits like accessories could be complementary so they stand out. You need to balance the contrast and the complementary colours.
- They say in a small room, don't take big prints. You don't really need to go by this. Instead, it gives a character and startling impression.
- You could incorporate texture as it is something you would want to reach out to and touch.

However, you can do anything for the spaces. You can play with these elements. There is no thumb rule, it is more like jargon.
