Indian Fashion Blog - Introducing Masala Bar, Mumbai

Masala Bar has been one of the most happening places in Bandra lately owned by the well-known restauranteur Zorawar Kalra. He continues with the legacy of Masala Library and Farzi cafe in Delhi (which is in Mumbai too). Ah, how can I forget the recent masterpiece Pa Pa Ya at Palladium mall!

I happened to visit Masala Bar again for their new menu launch. I was invited by Saloni Malkani and Samir Malkani who are the founders of Food Bloggers Association Of India (FBAI). The evening was fun-filled and got a chance to interact with a lot of bloggers.

The ambience of this place is to die for. You can enjoy a gastronomical fare with breathtaking views of Arabian Sea/Carter Road. Zorawar Kalra knows how to take innovation to another level with molecular mixology and tastefully done designs.

Ah, I also loved the stairway up to the lounge. I hope you saw my Insta and Snapchat stories. The entrance takes you to the dreamlike setting and you will be definitely intrigued by the paintings and the 3D mapping on the walls.

Verdict:
Even though I could not try many dishes but a candle-lit culinary concept offers one-of-its-kind experience. A very classy and sassy place with luxe ambience that oozes oodles of panache. Surely, a great place to let your hair down and soothe the unfrazzled nerves. You can avail the scientific laboratory style lab experience.
A review of this must-visit place had to be in my diaries, as for me, it is more about the place. Of course, it could be cocktails for some. I cannot really emphasise the fact how beautiful and surreal this place is. Every detailing is tastefully done and taken care of!
I would highly recommend it for special occasions and it is one of the top most places to go to in Mumbai. However, one must go before the sunset to soak up the gorgeous reviews.

What I like:
- It is also a perfect place for weekend indulgence and to feel mellow. It serves a steamy mix of cocktails and mocktails. It does get clubby post 10:00 PM and you can enjoy the progressive trance and electronic music.
- Location takes the brownie points too as you get the panoramic view of the Arabian sea.
- Another interesting fact is that it is a candle-lit-only bar that will uses all-organic, beeswax and locally sourced candles.

What I didn't like:
Some of the dishes were a mere presentation and not likely to pamper the taste buds.
- Also, more items could be introduced as this place offers mostly finger food. North Indian cuisine is taken to another level. There are mostly tapas dishes with Indian flavours and juxtaposed with the European theme.

Fit As A Fiddle recommends:
- Curry Leaf Infused Pepper Prawns, Braised Bok Choy and Cherry Tomatoes.
- Broiled Ginger Scallion Fish, Green Pea, Blackened Garlic and Beetcone.
