Pre-Valentine Bash at Le Mangii
After successfully establishing ventures all across Mumbai, Le Mangii made its way in South Mumbai and launched its flagship outlet that offers epicurean slice of Italy with exotic wines and culinary delights. We were invited for their Pre-Valentine bash for a gastronomical fare and to spend a convivial evening.
Le Mangii draws its inspiration from the popular Italian diner, “Café Mangii.” The all-inviting al la carte menu at Le Mangii boasts of exotic pastas and risottos, aromatic soups, delectable grills and sinful desserts and of-course their pride, the signature hand-crafted Napolitana wood-fired oven pizzas. The well-stocked bar at Le Mangii is a treat to the eye as it stands as an island bar with a grand display of international spirits and exquisite wines.
The decor is minimalist. The ambience will surely leave you spellbound with a 30 feet ceiling height, undulating brick walls highlighted perfectly by intelligent lighting and landscapes.
While their wine was good enough to mellow me down after a hectic day and mad rush, we enjoyed the stand up comedy show. The appetizers were not served when we reached. Slightly despondent, we sipped on the wine and waited for our rest of the meal to arrive.
The herb crusted Basa with layer of spinach sat on a bed of potatoes was presented well and served with veggies. However, I cant stop raving about the chicken roulade, perhaps the juiciest piece of meat I could get my teeth on. The dish was executed to perfection, clean and put together well. Although, I wish they had done justice to the proportions.

Their extensive list of services also include private get-togethers (part of whole restaurant), sit-down dinners, sunday brunches, outdoor catering with a multi-cuisine menu, home deliveries, gift hampers from their bakery and organizing customized events at the venue to suit every occasion.
Verdict:
In spite of several eateries in the vicinity the place has a huge potential to stand out. A perfect place to unwind! Be it with good music, a cup of coffee, a glass of sparkling wine or divine food for the gourmands.
What I like?
- The minimalistic decor.
- It is a great place for meetings or coffee conversation and can transform into a lounge by the night. The prime location wins all the brownie points.
- The Chicken Roulade was a gastronomical masterpiece, a perfect protein packed dish.
What I didn't like?
- No whole wheat pizzas was a big let down.
- No justice to the proportions.
- No Wifi! (I think there should be a free wifi in a place like this to get more footfalls)
Pocket Pinch: 1800 INR for two (Without alcohol)
