Recommendation Series - The Body Shop Haul and Review

Most of the Body Shop products are hyped and over-rated. But I strongly support cruelty free products that are natural. Here is a rundown on some of my recent purchases from the Body Shop.

Vineyard Peach Body Butter
Hydration for dry skin with peach extract and vineyard fragrance
What I like?
- It is by far the best Body Butter
- Soothing fragrance that gets me so high
- Not sticky and gets absorbed quickly
- Worth every penny
What I don’t like?
- One might need more quantity
- Budget might be a constraint for few
Rating: 4.5/5
945 INR

Born Lippy Passionberry Lip Balm
What I like?
- Purple tint
- Subtle shine
- Passionberry fragrance
- Budget friendly
What I don’t like?
- Practically nothing
Rating: 5/5
Price: 235 INR

Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment - Seaweed Pore Perfecter
Skin balancing serum with antioxidant algae complex - combination/oily skin
This lightweight treatment gel minimizes the appearance of pores - gives clearer looking skin
Verdict:
It is surely overrated and didn’t live up to my expectations. There is smooth-ness in skin but no dramatic results.
Directions for use - Apply a small amount to problem areas, day or night, after cleansing and before moisturizing.
Rating: 2/5
Price: 913 INR

  1. I bought the seaweed pore protector too-a few months back. I have the same opinion; it might help a lil but not really. Which is quite sad considering the price!

  3. I still haven't checked out the peach one yet. Waiting for their Holiday limited edition to arrive in India. Great haul. I don't know about the seaweed range but I tried the vitamin C range's serum and loved it. Gave my face the glow. I mixed that serum with a little bit of night cream and applied all over my face before going off to sleep. Loved that serum. But not pocket friendly :P.

  6. I like Peach BB too. But I like Aloe and Vit E one more especially in summers. Trust me Vit E is worth a try.
    Not a fan of lip balms either - hi5 ! :)
I might have gone for Seaweed Pore Perfecter but if you didn't find it worthy I think I am not trying either.

I don't know if you get this in India or not:

  8. Aloe Vera based skin care products are far better choice than synthetic ones, because Aloe Vera simply rejuvenates the skin.
