Top 6 Shopping Malls in Vancouver

The city of Vancouver is known across the country for its excellent shopping options. While a large percentage of shoppers head to Robson Street, Vancouver's shopping malls offer an outstanding shopping experience, which is particularly convenient during the harsh winter months. This article will review Vancouver's top 6 malls — just make sure that you bring your credit card with you, or that you apply for a credit card online before heading to these venues.

1- Oakridge Centre

Hailed as Vancouver's most stylish shopping mall, the Oakridge Centre certainly lives up to its reputation. Set on an elegant glass building and featuring impressive high ceilings, the Oakridge is home to more than 150 stores and entertainment venues, including Rolex, Apple, MAC, and DKNY. The Oakridge Centre is located just outside Oakridge 41st station.

2- Sinclair Centre

The Sinclair shopping mall is located on Hastings Street, just across the waterfront. The mall has been built on what was Vancouver's first post office building, an elegant construction dating from the beginning of the 20th century.
The Sinclair Centre is considered to be an upmarket shopping mall, as it hosts stores like Versace, Prada, Dior, Cartier, and Montblanc. There is also a refreshment area offering Japanese, Mediterranean, and Chinese food, as well as several coffee shops.

More than 240 stores spread along 2 floors await shoppers at the Richmond Centre. This mall is home to shops selling jewellery, ladies and men's fashion, accessories, specialty food, electronic equipment, health and beauty products, foot-ware, books, home décor, and children's apparel. There are also supermarkets, restaurants, and fast food outlets available.

4- The Crystal Mall

The Crystal is Vancouver's largest mall specialising in Asian products. In addition to the standard fashion, accessories, food, and electronics stores, the Crystal offers shoppers the opportunity to access traditional Chinese medicine shops and clinics. The food court houses more than 25 oriental restaurants.

5- Pacific Centre

The Pacific is Central Vancouver's largest shopping mall, and further expansion plans are still underway. Shoppers can find stores like Sephora, H&M, American Eagle, Bath and Body Works, La Senza, Michael Kors, and Nine West. Sears also has a department store in the premises, and there are numerous restaurants offering Thai, Greek, Japanese, and Mexican fare.

6- Metropolis Metrotown

Located in the trendy Burnaby area, Metropolis is home to more than 400 stores, which make of it Canada's second largest mall. Shops are split into three floors and into the adjacent Silver City annex.

Now you know Vancouver’s shopping spots like the back of your hand get ready to melt away your credit card having as much fun shopping as learning where to shop.
